2017 WCL All-Star Update: Austin Shenton

Austin Shenton, one of our hometown Bells, has found a lot of success with the Florida International Panthers after transferring from Bellevue College this season. The sophomore third baseman has brought his successes of the 2017 Bells season to his new home at FIU and he is not slowing down. Currently, Shenton is averaging .313 from behind the plate through his 67 at-bats. He has also recorded 10 RBIs on the season and crushed 6 dingers over the outfield wall. Austin also has made an impact on the defensive side as well, starting 17 of his 18 game appearances on the season.
A two-time Bell, for the 2016 and 2017 season, had great success every time he put on the Bellingham uniform. Throughout his career with the Bells, Shenton averaged .356 from the batter's box, collected 115 hits, and 56 RBIs. Shenton had the most success last season as he was crowned not only a 2017 WCL All-Star but also was the batting champ, finishing the season and leading the league with a .409 batting average. Shenton made an impact on not only the Bells but also the entire Bellingham community.
