Thank You, Bellingham!

07/20/2017 9:51 AM

After seven incredibly wonderful and magical years serving as the stewards and owners of the Bells, my wife (Kim) and I have entered into an agreement to sell the ball club.  It has been a blessing of the absolute highest order to lock arms with some truly amazing individuals, both in the front office and on the field, to help nurture, inspire and build our team into a precious community asset that will forever be woven into the fabric of your unbelievable community.  The opportunities that my family and I have had to help foster a safe, fan-friendly and fun environment where neighbors, business colleagues, classmates and family members can gather to create lifelong memories while watching very special student-athletes chase their dreams, are ones that we will treasure forever.  Our hearts and minds are filled with countless unforgettable moments of love, laughter, pride and joy that are a product of having taken this fabulous journey in summer collegiate baseball.  We hope that we have brought as much enjoyment and pleasure to your lives as you have all brought to ours, and we look forward to our paths staying connected as friends and passionate Bells fans for years to come.

At the end of the Bells’ season, I will pass the ownership torch to Glenn Kirkpatrick and his family who all reside in White Rock, B.C.  Glenn is fanatical about baseball, fully committed to building upon the platform and brand that we have worked hard to establish, and incredibly enthusiastic about supporting the team as it continues to strive to set the bar for the entire West Coast League.  I am confident that you will all enjoy getting to know Glenn as he integrates himself into your community, and I thank you in advance for welcoming him with open arms.

I am extremely grateful for all of the support, assistance and encouragement that you extended my way over the past seven years, and I cannot thank you enough for embracing me, my family and my vision during the time we have spent together.  I will forever hold my experiences in Bellingham in a very special place in my heart.

Go Bells!
