Hanson Tosses Gem in Bells 3-1 Win
Hanson tossed an eight-inning gem Saturday, Aug. 1, allowing just four hits while striking out six to move his record to 3-0 on the season.
The game was scoreless through the first five and a half innings before the Bells put a run on the board on a Beau Brett run-scoring single in the sixth.
Tanner Leighton put the Bells up by two in the seventh. He was walked to lead off the inning and Rhett Fenton drove him home with his third hit of the contest. Brady Locker stole home in the eighth after being hit by a pitch to score
The Bells, however, stuck with Hanson until the ninth when he turned the ball over the Seth Harvey. The Bells’ closer gave up a two-out run to the BlueJackets, but still picked up his 10th save of the season.
The Bells travel to Kitsap Sunday, Aug. 2, to play the last leg of their three-game set against the BlueJackets.
