Six Players to Represent Bells at 2016 WCL All-Star Game

Six players will represent the Bellingham Bells at the 2016 West Coast League All-Star Game, the league announced today.
Bells Andru Cardenas, Danny Casals, Shane Hanon, Jared Horn, Joey Matulovich and Jake Vieth will join the WCL North Team at the 2016 All-Star Game, hosted by the Cowlitz Black Bears. The All-Star Game and Home Run Derby will take place on Tuesday, July 19 at David Story Field in Longview, Wash.
The North Team will also consist of all-star selections from the Kelowna Falcons, Victoria HarbourCats, Walla Walla Sweets and Wenatchee AppleSox.
2016 Bellingham Bells All-Star Game Selections include:
Andru Cardenas, Infielder, Chico State University
Cardenas has been a consistent offensive threat for the Bells, maintaining a .333 batting average with 25 hits and 10 RBI on the season.
Danny Casals, Infielder, University of Maine
Casals has amassed 26 hits on the season and leads the Bells in doubles with eight.
Jake Vieth, Infielder, Gonzaga University
A source of power for the Bells during the 2016 season, Vieth currently leads the team in home runs.
Shane Hanon, Outfielder, Edmonds Community College
Hanon, who currently leads the Bells with a .337 batting average, has been outstanding offensively all season long, also collecting 31 hits and 17 runs.
Jared Horn, Right-handed Pitcher, University of California-Berkeley
Horn, who will enter college at Cal-Berkeley in the fall, has maintained a 1.80 ERA through 10 innings pitched. He has recorded 9 strikeouts and 1 save on the season.
Joey Matulovich, Right-handed Pitcher, University of California-Berkeley
Currently leading the West Coast League in strikeouts, Matulovich has struck out 40 batters on the season and has allowed only six walks.
