After wet conditions forced a called game in the fifth inning, the Bells took the series finale with the Walla Walla Sweets on Thursday night. The 1-0 victory was considered an official game.
Bells starter Justin Calomeni dominated in his first start of the year for Bellingham. His five inning outing was marked by strike outs, racking up eight in his shut out debut that will be marked as a complete game.
The only run of the game across in the bottom of the third inning on a Dustin Breshears two out RBI single that brought in K.J. Brady.
The game will go as a win for the Bells who are now 8-4 to start the season while the loss for Walla Walla has them at 6-6.
The home stand will continue tomorrow with the Bells welcoming the Wenatchee AppleSox to Joe Maritn Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 with Erik Oas on the call at 930 KBAI with a 6:35 pregame show.
