Bells Announce "Salute to Armed Forces" Wednesdays

The Bellingham Bells plan to honor current and former members of the United States Military before and during all Wednesday home games during the 2014 season, the team announced today.
The Bells will honor military members with special on-field ceremonies and tributes before and during each Wednesday home game. Additionally, the team will wear military-themed camouflage hats on each of the five Wednesdays to show their appreciation of our armed forces.
“We are proud to salute our armed forces at Joe Martin Field this summer, and do our part to thank them for their service,” Bells general manager Nick Caples said. “We look forward to honoring the men and women who defend our country and protect our freedom, and I know our fans will really appreciate the opportunity to do so at the ballpark.”
“Salute to Armed Forces” will take place on all Wednesday home games during the 2014 season: June 11, June 25, July 9, July 16 and July 30. First pitch for all games will be at 7:05 pm, with gates opening at 6 p.m.
