Bells Sign Two Players from Los Angeles

The Bells have added two more players to the roster for 2012 from the Los Angeles area. Pitcher Corey Carma from the University of Southern California and infielder Johnny Farrington from Biola will be playing in Bellingham this summer.
Corey Carma, a native of Salinas, CA where he attended Salinas High School, is currently a junior at USC. Carma played at Hartnell College in 2011, where he recorded 2 shutouts with a 2.39 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 90.1 innings pitched. “Corey comes in with a proven track record of success on the mound. We are excited about his potential as a power pitcher and are looking forward to working with this young man all summer long” says pitching coach Jim Clem.
Johnny Farrington, from Roseburg, OR, attended Roseburg High School. He is currently a sophomore at Biola. In 33 games this season, Farrington is batting .233 with 9 RBI and 12 walks giving him a .400 on-base percentage. Coach Clem says, “Johnny is a human highlight reel and he has been nothing short of great in the field and has hit more than his average is showing. We will like this kid a lot.”
