The Bellingham Bells were defeated, 10-8, in game two of their series against the Wenatchee AppleSox Saturday night at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
It was a back-and-forth game that was decided by a three-run Wenatchee homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Jake Gentry led off with his first hit as a Bell, a solo homerun over the wall in right, before Guthrie Morrison walked and scored on a Jordan Vujovich ground ball to second, making it 2-2.
The AppleSox plated another run in the bottom of the third to take a 3-2 lead before the Bells erupted for four runs in their half of the fourth to charge right back.
Cole Hinkelman led off with a single, which Derek Marshall backed up with a two-run homerun over the right field wall to take a 4-3 lead. Then, Troy Viola doubled and Danny Martin singled, putting runners on the corners for Gentry, who doubled to left scoring Viola. Ahead 5-3, Morrison scored Martin with a sacrifice-fly to take a 6-3 lead into the bottom of the inning.
Unfortunately for the Bells, Wenatchee answered with four run in the bottom of the inning to regain their lead, this time at 7-6.
After a scoreless fifth, the Bells responded with two runs in the sixth to take another lead. Viola and Martin started the inning with singles, and Morrison then scored Viola with a groundball to short. Collin Burns then plated Martin with a sacrifice-fly to left to make it 8-7.
Wenatchee cranked a three-run homerun in the bottom of the seventh, though, that proved to win the game, 10-8.
