Bells baseball is pleased to announce the signing of two more to the 2013 roster. Marc Huberman of USC, and Ryan Kirby of Granada High School will come to Bellingham this summer.
Marc Huberman, a 6’2 LHP from Los Angeles, CA, is a true freshman at USC. The Trojan was a two-year letter-winner at Hamilton HS under head coach Dave Uyeshima. Huberman was named the 2012 Western League Pitcher of the Year, while earning First Team All-City utility. He was First Team All-League as a junior. “Marc is a left-handed strike thrower, who has a good fastball, and features a slider, curveball, and change-up,” said Bells assistant coach Jim Clem. “Marc is a player with a great upside. We expect him to have a great summer in Bellingham.” The LA native has pitched in relief this season for the Trojans. In 4 appearances, he has pitched 6.1 innings, posting a 2.84 ERA, with 6 strikeouts.
Ryan Kirby, a 6’1 outfielder is currently a senior at Granada High School. The left-handed hitter is from Livermore, CA and will be 2013 graduate. Kirby is committed to the University of San Diego. A future member of the Toreros, Kirby has racked up numerous accolades during his HS career. He was a 2013 Rawlings Preseason California Region All High School Senior 1st Team member, as well as a 2012 Underclass 3rd Team member. “For a young player, Ryan is an accomplished hitter,” said Clem. “He is a highly touted recruit who is known to have an outstanding work ethic and high character.”
