Bellingham broke the game wide open in the second after the first four batters reached base. Charlie Markson and Frank Desico, both from Notre Dame, plated the first two runs of the frame before Junnior Dishmey-Perez collected the first of his two doubles and two of his four runs batted in.
Jake Haight picked up the win for the Bells after throwing six innings in which he surrendered just two runs on eight hits—both runs were scored on a two-run home run by Daniel Dillard in Haight’s final inning of work. Danny Hennigs pitched the final three innings to pick up a three-inning save.
The runs continued to pile up for Bellingham with three runs in the fourth, one in the sixth, and six more in the seventh. The Bells were also aided by four Corvallis errors in the contest.
