Sales & Marketing Coordinator

The Bellingham Bells Sales & Marketing Coordinator position is a full-time, salaried position, which will have numerous responsibilities and wear many different hats. Responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Sponsorship Sales. Assist in sponsorship sales efforts, with particular focus on active prospecting for new sponsorship sales opportunities. Continually work to generate new leads and opportunities, contact prospects, perform follow-up, close sales and execute sponsorship components.
  • Sponsorship Outreach & Experience. Lead efforts for prospective & current sponsor outreach, including the planning & execution of in-season events for prospective sponsors at the ballpark. Work to heighten sponsorship experience at the ballpark by creating game day experience and opportunities for active sponsors. Serve as sponsor liaison on day of games, helping to create a memorable experience for sponsors and their guests.
  • Group Sales. Proactively prospect for new group sales opportunities, striving to achieve year-over-year revenue growth. Assist with execution of group events, helping to ensure high satisfaction rates.
  • Ticket Sales. Renew and sell new season ticket packages and 10-game ticket packages. Work to increase ticket sales through targeted sales of tickets to local teams, businesses, and organizations. Creatively market opportunities to these groups (theme nights, etc.) with goal of selling tickets and bringing individuals to the ballpark.
  • Community Outreach. Work to execute a community marketing & awareness strategy to further promote the Bells brand within our community.
  • Reports directly to team’s general manager.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willingness and ability to work a varying range of hours, evenings and weekends.
  • Minimum six months experience in a professional sales environment, preferably direct sales experience with a corporate customer base.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sports management/athletics

Compensation

  • Base salary, commission, and bonus opportunities

The Bellingham Bells are a summer, wood bat, collegiate baseball team that plays in the West Coast League (www.westcoastleague.com). The Bells play their home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham. The mission of the Bells is to provide opportunities, on and off the field, for individuals to chase their dreams.

The Bellingham Bells are a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team and a member of the West Coast League.  During the months of June, July & August, the Bells compete in a 57-game season, playing home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham and traveling to compete with other WCL teams in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. The Bells strive to contribute to a strong and vibrant community through affordable, family-friendly entertainment.
